My palm TX will charge when I use the hot sync cable hooked to my pc, but when I need to use the travel charger it doesn't. The hot sync cable has a wide plug that goes into the bottom of the TX, but the travel charger only has a small plug that fits into the right side at the bottom of the TX. If I wiggle the plug, I can see the lightning bolt on the battery, but as soon as I lay the TX down, the lightning bolt goes away and it stops charging. There seems to be a lot of play or wiggle room in the place the travel charge plugs into. I have even replaced the travel charger, but have the same problem.

Sometimes if you plug them in to the hot sync cable they will charge. This works for my TX however I am not sure about the Z22. I am including a link to the palm free chat service.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see a Palm
Chat. From there click on the link that says Chat Now and follow the online
prompts. Best wishes...I hope this will help you.
They can answer that questions for you there. I have used the free chat service and it worked great for me. Best wishes.
First you need to reset the TX:
hold the reset button on the back of the unit, then turn the power on. Hold the power button while releasing the reset button. The TX will power up to the screen where it will ask you if you want to reset it to factory default.
Afterwards go to this link,
and download the Palm Desktop/Sync software and install it onto your PC. After installing the the Palm Destop software, connect the sync cable to the PC via the USB, then connect the cable to the TX and push the sync button.
Click on this link or copy and paste the complete link into your browser. If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it. Thanks, Joe
Try this, uninstall your current version of Palm Desktop, then go to this link on the Palm support website http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/na/tungsten/tx/unlocked/home/page_en.html this will give you the link to the download for the TX version of Palm Desktop, this may or may not fix your particular problem but it is worth a try.
I had the same problem with my TX. When I moved, I lost the CD. I think what you have to do is contact Palm to get a replacement CD. It might be a small charge for it, but the drivers are on that CD and that will make it work.
Are you using Vista at all?
I had a similar same problem. It occured when pluging or unpluging in the USB cable into the bottom of the Palm TX when the other end of the cable was already pluged into a live USB port on my PC.
The solution was to make sure the cable is unpluged first from your PC before you plug or unplug the cable into the bottom of your Palm TX.
i had that problem too. sorry it is bugging you. i know you probably want to sync your data rught now. So for now try to disable the syncing of documents to go (just for now) on palm desktop, look for the conduits and temporarily disable the syncing of docs to go. Also ensure you plug in your pda charger as well as the usb cable (I found out this helps through experience) and sync. (Just to back it up)
as for the documents to go, there is probably a file(document) that is generating the errors. please look through documents to go on your palm desktop and remove any file you feel is not necessary. also take note that it is best if your pda has some free memory on it. you may want to save those documents on a disk (If you are not already that is..) clearing up ram made my tx more stable esp during hot sync.
please let me know it that worked for you. i still have some suggestions good luck and enjoy
If u need to make connectivity between computer and Palm mobie then u need to install hot sync software on ur Pc and activate hotsync option from ur mobile then with cable u can transfer the data . if u not have proper software of hotsync then download it from palm Site.
