Price for power supply board ETXMM655MEH

Red light is flashing 10 times also Q301 &302 in the power supply board are gone

hey there! i finally figured it out!! If you have a computer hooked up with the HDMI cable in the back of the TV and the computer is either on screen saver mood or sleep mood then it is trying to make the television go to sleep aswell. So the only way you can have a computer hooked up to the TV is if you use the front HDMI hook up. pretty weird but thats what was wrong with mine. Hopefully that was the problem :):)

Replaced the sc board and tv works fine again.

Most likely a bad Y-sustain board.

Panasonic said "A" board,
A board SOS Detect (Explanation)
10 Blinks SOS: The voltage regulators IC5400 and IC5401 in the A board generate SUB9V and SUB5V. The 9V and 5V from these ICs are monitored by IC1100. Any abnormality on the SUB9V or SUB5V lines, triggers the shutdown circuit and the MPU shuts down the unit. The power LED blinks 10 times.

But need to measure the connection SC2, if it short, it will be the SC board.

The knowledge obtain from: Real case of repair by myself.
Information from Panasonic training manual.

That problem is usually cause of faulty capacitors on the power supply board..

Just follow this instruction to fix your TV..

1. Open the back cover of your TV.
2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord..
3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors..
4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value..
5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter

When I turn the tv on it clicks off as though its gone into standby and the blue power light flashes six times. No picture and then the power light eventually turns red.
Hello,

Your power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors.These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable,and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

I smelled something electrical overheating or burning...I've smelled it before late at night. The 40-incher was going for about 8 to 10 hours now and I looked inside the body of the TV and saw a red light...

Hi there, The dock was on standby and suddenly started making an angry droning noise. Switched it off and unplugged for a bit - now turned it on and the power light is flashing red and refuses to...
power supply is the red light, the original problem could be the amp which caused the power supply to fail. from the time posted, suggest you have a model with the known power board fault, contact b and w service or point of sale and they shoul fix it for you.

PT-56DLX75 turns off red light flashes. Replaced
You need to first CK power supply board for Bad capacitors they will be vented,swollen or puffed up on top ,if you do not see any then try replacing Ballast Board it is what Powers Lamp. Call Encompas Parts Dustrubtion for Part numbers and Prices or Visit teir Website online!

Toshiba 57H81 Flashing Red Power Light, Blown Fused F850+F852
Solved by resoldering some solder joints!!!!!!!

Toshiba Model 57H81 Rear Projection TV - Purchased 11-09-2001

Problem: Toshiba 57H81 Flashing Red Power Light, No Picture/Sound, Blown Fuses F850 + F852

Symptoms January, 2009:

  • Upon turning on set I got flashing red power light and nothing else.
  • Removing plug for one minute and plugging in results in:
    • Audible click, steady red power light for 2 seconds then slow flashing red light
    • Pushing power button results in steady red for about 2 seconds then slow flashing red light, no other set activity
  • Removing power cord for several hours and plugging back in made no change
    • Audible click, steady red for about 2 seconds then slow flashing red light
  • Possible related note: Over past several months occasionally the entire screen would flicker momentarily and at other times be problem free for weeks.
  • Fuses F850 and F852 found blown

Repairs Made:
  • PD0074 DEF/CON Power Board
    • There are two main power supply capacitors in this set. They are C-809 and C-810. One their negative lead on the printed circuit board re-soldered leads and nearby contacts. I’m told that because the factory left out a printed circuit board eyelet, the connection will come loose over time. When I called Toshiba customer service they said there was a known solder joint problem causing blinking red light.
    • Replaced blown fuses F850 and F852.
      • I actually installed a fuse panel on the inside of the cabinet and routed the fuse connections here instead of ordering the special fuses and replacing them on the circuit board.
      • Had to use a 5 Amp SLO-BLOW for F850. Fast blow does not survive power up. Get the red blinking light.
      • Used a fast blow 2 Amp for F852.
  • PD0073 SIGNAL Board
    • Re-soldered Q751 + Q752 STK392-110 Convergence Amps
    • Re-soldered adjacent pads that looks suspicious

Total Cost to Repair about $10
  • Twelve hours of my time over three days to research issue, disassemble set, make repairs, add fuse panel.
  • Already owned Service Manual and Circuit diagrams from a different 2004 repair.
  • Less than ten dollars at Radio Shack for fuses and fuse panel. Already had wires, etc.
  • Some solder. Already owned de-soldering tools, etc.
  • Visited both local authorized Toshiba factory service repair facilities. One said repair would have to include replacing Q751 + Q752 STK392-110 Convergence Amps with ST392-180, and realigning set for a total of $500+ and it would be more if they had to order a power board. NO THANK YOU! Other shop said $65 for site visit and $30 to make an estimate that could be applied to repair.
