I am suffering terribly with condensation on my windows; we have central heating and keep the rooms heated regularly before we go to bed. The windows are clear on going to bed but in the morning they are full of condensation a friend has suggested cat litter, would this help??

Heavy condensation on windows only means one thing single pane glass and very cold outside. Not much you can do on the cheap maybe put plastic on the outside of glass. Or install storm windows would be the best.

air conditioners are in effect heat pumps
that is they pump the hot air in the room via a gas to the outside area
when that outside are is still inside the room then that hot air is just recirculated
so if you want to heat your room the system is reversed so that you need the hot air outside pumped back into the room
the hot air is provided by the condenser which is now the evaporator in the room as the roles have been reversed so you will have to put the unit in a door way or use the ducting hoses to go out a window

Only recently my portable heller air conditioner is oosing out buckets of water each night. does it mean it finished and needs replacement,

Portable air conditioners cool the air, and in so doing, dehumidify the air. The "buckets" of water are coming from the humid air in your environment, so you need to do things that will reduce humidity, of be prepared to empty the condensate receptacle fairly often.

Using a small room, closing doors and windows to the room you want cooled, avoiding cooking or heating water, reducing the frequency of people walking into/out of the room and limiting the number of people in the room will all help in reducing, and keeping low, the ambient humidity.

I suffer from back problems. Is it better to keep moving or to lay in bed?

It's generally accepted now that staying in bed or lying down does nothing to help you recover from a bad back and if anything can aggravate the problem. Although regular activities may not be possible or advisable ie doing your regular sports, you should try to take walks and keep moving gently as much as possible.

Miele T230C dryer keeps tripping out after only a few seconds?

Mostly likely cause is the heater element part no. 6138580. To ensure this does not happened again 1. Ensure appliance is situated in a cool room with ventilation (If room to hot it will not condense)
2. Ensure metal heat exchanger at bottom of appliance is rinsed regularly both long way and width ways.

MY FREEZE DOES NOT FREEZ BUT IS COOLD DOES IT NEEDS GAS

When the compressor is running, two fans should be running. One inside the freezer compartment that moves air over the evaporator coils. The other is under/behind the fridge that cools the condenser coils.

If the fan on the condenser coil (the one under/behind the fridge) stops working, the system cannot dissipate the heat from those coils, and thus cannot sufficiently cool the inside of either the freezer nor fresh food compartment.

On mine, when the condenser fan failed, I noticed right away. The front face of the wall separating the compartments became very hot. Extremely hot.

Apparently the refrigeration system is designed so that waste heat keeps condensation from forming where the magnetic gaskets on the door need to seal. When the condenser fan failed, there was too much waste heat (because no heat was being dissipated from the condenser coils by the fan), thus making that gasket-sealing area very hot.

If it is your condenser coil fan, you can relieve the problem temporarily by removing the bottom back panel from the fridge and aiming a box fan (a regular room or window fan) at the condenser coils. This will circulate air over the coils, thus removing heat from the coils.
