Question about Adobe Photoshop CS2 for PC
I just installed photoshop cs2,but i cant use the type tool,it keeps telling me "something prevented the type engine from starting up",need help please.
Here are a couple of things to try.
First, try uninstalling and re-installing the application /
repairing. Typically, this problem occurs when some cleanup script or
other thinks our spelling, hyphenation, or some other type data files
aren't needed and deletes them.
If that doesn't work, search for and delete "adobefnt*.lst" files on disk. These are the font cache files and may have gotten corrupted. That's very unusual with more recent versions of Photoshop.
If that doesn't work, it's likely a corrupted font installed - there's a knowledgebase article on finding a corrupted font. You can find that on the Adobe website and follow it.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
