GE PROFILE MOD. TNX22PRCBRWW....SER# MA 900839V....WATER LEAKING ON FLOOR...MANUAL SAYS TO CHECK DRAIN IN BOTTOM OF FREZZER DONT SEE DRAIN

There should be a bottom plate on the freezer, youhave to remove it and then you have to remove the evaporator cover. There should be two coils (the evaporator) below the evaporator there should be a drainpan with a hole in it.tocheck it poor a little water in the pan to see if it drains if it doesn't you can use a small round hose or tube and push it through the drain hole.

Ge profile leaking water from bottom of appliance

if you have ice on freezer floor, then you likely have a clogged defrost drain. the meltwater from the evaporator can no longer reach the condensate pan under the unit. Unfortunately, the only way I know how to unclog it, after removing all the ice, is to blow compressed air from the freezer into the drian, to force out the debris.
if you have no ice on freezer floor, then from my experience, the problem is due to a dried, brittle and cracked water line for the water dispenser. Pull the fridge out from the wall carefully, you will see a machine compartment cover at the bottom. If this cover is only half as wide as the unit itself, then due to the proximity of the water valve to the compressor, the water line is very well known to crack. You will have to replace the 5/16" water line from the valve solenoid to the water tank located inside the refrigerated compartment.
If neither of these scenarios cover your problem, i would advise seeking a competent repairman. If you are in chicagoland, I can help, otherwise no.

My side by side for some reason has water coming out from under it..i check the water feed line and its good!I then checked the drain plug in the frezzer and noticed the whole bottom of the frezzer had...

What is a "drain plug"??? Never seen one on a fridge ;)
Clean the drain pan and drain line in the back of the freezer section underneath the evaporator coil. Make sure water drains when you pour it in.
Good luck! :)

WHERE IS THE DRAIN PAN LOCATED???

The bottom of the refrigerator and near compressor is where the condensate drains to. The condensate begins in freezer during defrost and collects in a collection tray behind rear wall of freezer and with a drain hole and pipe that feeds through the cabinet and down to drain pan where it is warmed by the compressor heat and returned to the air inside your home. The only way to really get a good look at pan is to pull the refrigerator away from wall and remove cover over the compressor are. I recommend unplugging first before placing hands inside. Thanks, Sea Breeze

Hi Sandy, I can assist you.

Self-defrosting refrigerators dispose of the water generated during the defrost cycle, usually via a tube or channel that directs the water to a pan at the bottom of the refrigerator. From the pan, the water normally evaporates.

If the tube or channel is clogged or obstructed, the water backs up and leaks into the inside of the refrigerator compartment. Then the water builds up at the bottom, inside of the refrigerator. When the water has built up for a time it may spill out of the front of the door opening. To fix this problem, clear the drain tube or channel and allow the defrost water to flow down to the drain pan.
