Question about Zenith R49W36 49" Rear Projection HDTV
My problem is that my TV was working properly until I tried to use the auto convergence button. Since then, the picture looks basically like a 3-d picture. The picture is concaved at the top and bottom of the screen and the colors are not matching resulting in double vision images, especially on the outside of the screen. I have been advised to unplug the TV and sometimes it will reset itself. This resulted in no improvement. Are there any other suggestions out there that I can try to correct this problem. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
I'm assuming you were having picture quality problems prior to pressing the auto convergence button. If not then there could be a problem in that circuit. More likely I believe is a problem on the convergence board assembly or in the pincushion circuits. Also, check your owners manual to see if there is a manual convergence adjustment you can do.
