Code 19 means there is a driver conflict such as two devices trying to use the same resources.

Try this - Control Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click the device - Driver's Tab - click
Update Drivers (this will likely do nothing) - then RIGHT CLICK the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
this will refresh the default driver stack.

Normally the above will fix that issue if not work your way down through these even if you have done
them before.

Your CD drive or DVD drive is missing or is not recognized by Windows or other programs

To make sure that software settings are not causing the problem, use the following link

Click Run Now

See if it able to detect any problems.

If it remain same, try to use a lens cleaner disc to clean the drive lens.

I have this message " SATA CD :: TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-U633J" What does it mean?

SATA : Serial ATA, the type of interface for the Drive as opposed to IDE (the older type.).
TSSTCorp is a joint venture Toshiba Samsung for Optical drives
CDDVD R-W CD and DVD Read Write.
TS-U633J is the model number. That is the reference you use if you are looking for drivers.

Seems like the registry for your Dvd-Rom is corrupted. Try disabling and uninstalling the driver, then enable and wait for windows to clean install its driver.

My tsstcorp cddvdw TS-L632N drive is not reading the cd roms at all. Reading dvds very slow. Any suggestions pl.

1.Click on Start
2.In start search or Run window type devmgmt.msc and then hit enter.
3.This would open the Device Manager Window.
4.Try locating the option which reads as CD/Dvd,there would be a + sign next to the same.
5.Click on the +sign and locate the driver below that.
6.Right click on that driver and then click on Uninstall.
7.Now locate an option which reads ACTIONS right at the top of the device manager.
8.Click on Actions and then click on Scan for hardware Changes.
9.Restart the computer to check the functionality.

if the usb ports are not working its down to a motherboard fault. cd/dvd roms need 12 volts and 5 volts to work if a voltage is not right it will give you code 19 to 25. have you had something short out on the usb side, i.e some device you have used in the past. usb stick tec. as sometimes it can blow a fuse on the main board, these can be replaced if you know how to solder and find the fuse that has gone.

CDDVDW stop responding

Try reseating the driver or delete registry: Follow the steps but you do that, please back up registry files by clicking on File and import:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
