The best way is to update the firmware in the copier. You have to download the current firmware and put it on a flash card and and plug it in to port 2 after powering down the copier. Power it back on and the firmware will set itself up to your copier.

This is most likely caused by an error on a print job. This kind of error occurs most of the time with printing PDF files. What you could do is upgrade the firmware of you printer to the latest version. HP has a fix to this issue on the latest firmware for your printer model. You can download that firmware from the HP website.
If you have any more issues and concern please feel free to come back ask here at fixya.
You have a great day!
The firmware download utility program comes on the CD supplied with the printer. Use this to download the firmware file to the printer. Check on the zebra website for the latest firmware file. (You should be able to download the Download utility program from the website also. (Steady red may indicate that the printer is set to the incorrect operating mode. Check that you have the correct setting in your printer driver - Thermal Transfer if you use a ribbon, Direct Thermal if not) Easiest way to check is to insert a ribbon and see if printer works)
Normaly a Check Sum fault will be displayed if the printer firmware has become corrupt or the flash memory may be damaged.
The first thing to try would be to reload the firmware into the pritner, if the firmware is corrupt this will rectify the problem.
If it is not possable to reload the firmware the main board may need to be repalced.
Same thing happened to me....yesterday I went online at www.dell.com
to download the latest firmware & driver for my Dell 946 Printer.
After downloading the firmware the printer went haywire and is rendered
useless. It emits beeps and the green power light will stay lit then
flash every 3 seconds or so. There is no read-out on the lcd display.
I phoned Dell only to be told I should not have downloaded the firmware
and that Dell does not recommend downloading firmware. If that is the
case then why is the firmware listed on the Dell site with instructions
to do so? I was advised that no support could be offered because the
printer is out of warranty and was told to uninstall the printer and
re-install. I have tried everything, including uninstalling printer,
unplugging printer, etc. and nothing has helped. I have researched
online and note that this is a recurrent problem. This problem is
noted in the forums section of Dell.com - I have followed directions
listed in the forum section of Dell.com as noted (see below websites)
but this has not fixed the problem....
Since this seems to be a known problem and the problem is actually
caused by downloading firmware from the Dell site I feel it is an
injustice not to offer some type of support to rectify the problem. I
have always bought Dell products and advised others to do so, but with
this problem I feel that I will be changing my brand that I purchase.
I will be contacting Consumer Reports - I feel this warrants some type of recall!!
These are the 3 things listed as being wrong for the status light being solid red: 1. Media is out. Reload a new supply. Press feed button to continue. 2. Power-up failure. Switch power OFF then back ON. 3. Printer ready to receive flash programming during firmware download.
There's a programming manual available for download on Zebra's website: https://www.zebra.com/id/zebra/na/en/index/resource_library/manuals.results.html It might help.
