My HP 8250 Photosmart printer will not turn on - power dsource light off.

To do a hard reset:
1. Make sure the printer is on.
2. Pull the power cord from the printer.
3. Pull the power cord from the wall.
4. Wait 30 seconds.
5. Plug the printer in and turn it on.

Here is how to reset the HP Photosmart 8250:
Performing a full reset
1. Press the Power button ( ) to turn on the product.
2. With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from back of the product.
3. Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.
4. Wait at least 15 seconds.
5. Connect the power cord into wall outlet.
6. Connect the power cord to the back of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press Power button ( ) to turn it on.
Try to print.

Hi

• Check the battery light. If the light is red, recharge the battery.

• If the battery light is still red after recharge, replace the battery.

Try changing the ink cartridges.

If you installed the "HP Support Toolkit" software from the CD-ROM that came with the printer, use this Toolkit to "run a cleaning cycle".
It can print a "test" page, to show you which colours _do_ work, and which do _not_ work.

If all else fails, then find a qualified printer technician.

ok..do us a favor here..try a test page from printer selection panel. just to make sure it's not the printer..you may need to re install new printer drivers.

Your printer has experienced an internal failure, and requires service from an HP printer repair company; there is nothing that you can do to fix it

Turn off the machine using the power button, unplug the power cord from the back of the machine, remove the ink cartridges, wait 2 min, plug the power cord back in, press the power button to turn on the printer, wait for the printer to prompt that the ink cartridges are missing, then replace the ink cartridges. If this doesn't clear the error you may need to re-prime the ink cartridges. Possible cause may be the power supply fuse. When power failures happen usually the fuse is the first to go.
