Question about Sansui 27" TV

1 Answer

Sansui TVS2746 I'm writing from a middle school in the U.S. One of our children put this television in sleep mode we suspect. It comes on then shuts off after five minutes or so. How can we get it out of sleep mode? Naturally the kids swiped the remote. Can you offer us any help? The TV is less than three years old and we can't afford to replace it. Thank you, Linda Ostrow Coastal Middle School Savannah, GA 31410 linda.ostrow@sccpss.com

You can download the manual explaining how to program the timer from Orion who makes this TV, http://www.orionsalesinc.com/Downloads/27-/View-category

If you need a new remote you can get one from Orion or search on Ebay.

Sansui tvs2746 how to turn on closed captioning

If its remote control have a button marked "CC", pressing it once should make the Closed caption out. Pressing it again, the closed caption will re-appear. It will work like a toggle switch.
If there is no such button on the remote control, you have to surf its menu options, to find out the closed caption option, and there you will have access to turn it On/Off. Refer its user manual for more details. Gopakumar Gopalan Google

Sansui 27"

I think you're on the right track. It sounds like the problem is in the horizontal deflection circuit or pincushion circuit.Maybe a bad solder connection or a resistor burned loose from the circuit board. Stargazer
