Ok, what i want you to do is right click "computer" select "manage" and then "device manager", then click on the + sign next to "network adapters" and right click on the wireless network and "un-install" the device, reboot the PC and wait for windows to detect the wireless card and install the drivers for it, this will appear in the system tray (bottom right hand side) when its done try to connect again

Are you using LAN? You can only access Administration if you reset the device through LAN (pressing reset button). You cannot access Admin config after reset through wireless... If your already using LAN, try turning your firewall off. And oh, your LAN should be plugged in to one of the LAN ports and not in the WAN port...

I had to reboot my laptop to the original settings toady following a virus and now my wireless connection seems to have been lost. I can still connect to the internet with cables but no longer without??

You need to log into the router and check the wireless security tab for the wireless key.

Try to connect to the wireless network and when prompted for the password, provide it.

Make sure you've unplugged the WIRED cable before connecting.

There's no manual posted online (weird) but if you email their tech support I'm sure they'll send you the link to one.

Here's the support page for your model.

I have the MFC-490CW, I am trying to install it to be wireless. But I can't figure out some of the items. How do I find the WEP key?

My brother MFC490-CW is connected wirelessly to the router. It printed OK wirelessly yesterday when I set it up but today it will not print. The printer has a strong wireless connection to the router. My PC also has a strong connection to the router. But the printer seems to have lost the connection to my PC. How to I re-establish the wireless connection from the printer to my PC?

My Linksys Wireless G Router seems to work fine with my PC, but when I close my lid and open it again later my connection is lost and I have to go through the whole connecting wireless process over again....

Yes. There should be a check box to save the connection. Also in the power settings you can change the settings for what happens when closing the lid. Default is to disconnect.

Connection lost everytime phones on

The phone and the router are using the same wireless channel and/or wireless band. You can access the router console by inputting it's IP address, usually 192.168.1.1 by default, in the address bar. Once there you can change the channel your wireless signal uses to be something different you phone uses.

Lost wireless connection

if:

if the power light is blinking, a little bad news because the router is now showing a sign of defectivity, a firmware upgrade could be a solution.

you may try to reset it this way:

Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds, once you reach the 25th seconds, unplug the power then put it back in right on the 30 second, then release the reset button, wait for another 20 seconds then unplug the power from the router, after around 5-10 seconds plug it back in.

Wireless connection lost

Wirless and modem systems both are different, there is no connection between them.

If you were using your modem for internet access then you should chek-out your modem and phone-lines etc. Wirless will not effect.

verify your modem driver is installed correctly and check the settings.

Thanks
