Question about Formac Gallery 1740 Oxygen 17.4" LCD Monitor
While cleaning my monitor some of the liquid seeped between the screen and casing. Now there are three 1 pixel wide vertical lines from top to bottom. The colors of the lines vary. I thought the problem would fix itself over time after the liquid evaporated, but it's been over a month with no change.
Looks like the water is getting in to the LCD contacts. Or corroding them. If the monitor can be opened safely open it and place in a warm dry environment for a few days. Silica dehumidifiers may help.
If the issue is not permanent this may fix it.
