If ur initial screen is a machine icon and couldn't pass through it to ready mode, then probably your HDD is problem. If really the case, then u need to replace another HDD and update the firmware
HDD is having issues. You can try formatting the HDD (make sure you
backup templates and address book if you use them.) To format HDD hold 0
and 8 while turning on the copier, when the machine comes ready key in
690 and hit start. It will then display "2 2", hit start again.
Wait for it to say please reboot the machine, turn it off and back on.
Hopefully this will work but if not, your HDD will need replacing.
The problem is not finding a hard drive. It is getting the software loadeed on that you need to run the copier. The hard drive is nothing spiecal, it is the software that is on it. I would look on the internet.. Good Luck
