Hi mrus821

If the signal won't go through you will have to either have your Mainboard Repaired or Replaced.

This is unfortunatelly a common Mainbaord problem , and the above is the only way to get it fixed.

White dots on the screen

Need more info. But initial suspicion is there is a problem with your projector.

Are they stationary and always in the same position? You may have bad pixels.

Are the dots there with no signal going to the projector?

What is connected the the projector? Detail the video path - try all the sources. The dots still there and in the same position on all sources?

It is probably your projector.

If some of your sources are fine - the problem might be from a connected source.

Hope this helps.

HDMI inputs do not show a picture. They worked but now do not. They display the setup program from the Onkyo AV receiver via HDMI output, but not when the receiver is pushing any other signal via the...

This is likely a problem with the receiver not the projector. If the setup screen from the receiver is displayed through the projector, then the projector is functional. If the actual signal is not displayed, then the receiver is not sending the signal. The setup screen is generated inside the receiver and is injected later in the video path than the input signal. Try a direct connect from the signal source (other side of the receiver) to the projector. Again, if that works, then the problem is the receiver.

What settings should I use for acer x1260 to dell d520 laptop? Projector says "no signal" - have changed avg cable - no difference.

The max resolution on the projector is 1024x768. But the problem you're having sounds suspiciously like the laptop not sending out a video signal...you have to *tell* the laptop to send out an image to an external display. On one of the function keys, like F4 or F8, there will be a small TV screen symbol. You have to press and hold "alt" and then press the key with the symbol. The initial setting is obviously for the laptop only. When you press the keys for the first time, you tell the laptop share the picture with an external display (your projector). Press the keys a second time, and the laptop ONLY displays an image from the projector. And, press the combination again, you're back to just the laptop.The DLP projector should have a menu selection for "auto" under the input menu...that is the easiest and most trouble-free setting. Whatever you connect to the projector, it automatically seeks out the signal and connects to it.---Rick

Infocus X1 picture freezes and dissapears and then comes on again

your display settings may be off, so change settings to factory reset and you may have to drop the resolution on your computer. you may also have a bad cable, so try a different cable.

No signal

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, the "No Signal" error message indicates just that, it is not receiving anything or that the signal it receives is beyond its capacity. With this in mind, pls check:
  • the cable connection from PC to Projector;
  • that the PC is set to display on a 2nd monitor, TV or Projector depending on the capability of the PC's video card (Twin View or Dual View); or
  • as main monitor;
  • lower down the computer's Screen Resolution and/or Screen refresh rate.
Just a start, do postback how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

"no signal " on the screen

After half a day of tinkering around with my new Acer I fixed my problem, which I think is yours also. I connected it to my notebook, it read the signal 'D-Sub' or something like that, and after my notebook finished startup, it reverted to no signal. I tried it with my desktop and it worked just fine. The display will only show up on one output device. It worked fine on my desktop because I was unplugging my monitor in order to hook up the projector. Hooking the projector up to my notebook left the display panel still active and that was where it displayed. In case I'm not making sense, the solution is this: After setting everything up, hit Control+Alt+F1 to switch display from your screen to the projector. To switch back, hit Control+Alt+F3

Acer projector

My Acer PD125projector was working perfectly but has been out of use for 6 months. When I connect it now, I get:- 1. "ACER - Empowering People" screen, then 2. After a short delay the message "The Lamp is approaching the end of its useful life at full power ........." is displayed for a short time, then 3. The initial screen returns, together with a "No Signal" message. After this warm up none of the controls on the actual machine nor the the remote controller, except for the power button, will do anything. What can I do about this?
