Outlet fuses keep blowing with inverter use

Although the owner's manual states that the power inverter(s) that I have (500 watt & 95 watt respectively), the fuses keep blowing. I did not have this problem with my former 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan that had the longer fuse box under the hood. I also allowed the power adapters to keep running when the engine was turned off. What are remedies? Also, is it possible to put a longer 2001 fuse box in place of the current fuse box of my 2000?

It could have a fault and thats why it's blowing the fuse, inverters can wear out and the parts may need replacing the capacitors the voltage regulator chips all these parts have to be taken into account, this parts don't last for ever they need replacing. capacitors can last upwards of 12000 hours but electric jolt and what you are use to be powered adds more drain on the electronics most inverters you can get at most 5 years out of them but it really depends on what you use on them, and if you useing it to its max or near max all the time it will wear out, then blow fuse

2011 honda pilot accessory port failure

remove what.

i bet you didnt know there are 2 fuse boxes.

check all fuses in both boxes.

or read the drawings on alldata.com

see what fuse powers this acc. port.

the inverters suck big current and will blow a power port in jiffy

(read amps on inverter, and see, wow huge)

1000w is 83+ amps.

500w is 40 amps. both are fuse killers.

fuse that look bad are

fuses that look good, can in fact be bad, hair line cracks

use any ohm meter on low scale, 0ohms good. infinity bad.

to test any fuse.

Brake light fuse keeps blowing in my 1997 Suburban only when towing trailers.

If the fuse blows on different trailers then it's all down to the vehicle. You either have incorrect wiring on the vehicle, a short OR the fuse is not of a high enough value to cope with the additional brake lights? You could try removing all the trailer bulbs EXCEPT the brake lights - e.g. if it's trying to power up the indicators too? That would stop the fuse blowing...... OR remove the brake bulbs from the vehicle & see if it operates the trailer without blowing...... Check the total wattage of ALL the brake lamps & see if the fuse is actually of a high enough rating? Be aware though that increasing the value of the fuse could cause damage elsewhere! As a rough guide a 25 watt bulb will pull around 2 amps at 12 volts - so 4 bulbs may pull up to 8 amps & clearly blow a 5 amp fuse! If in doubt take it to an auto electrician...... The wiring needs to be correctly protected!

Yes my fuse for my wipers keeps blowing and my wipers turn on when i plug fuse in even know the wipers are turned off.

The power distribution box in the engine compartment # 6 , 30 amp mini - fuse , front wiper motor , front wiper relay , front washer pump , FEM ( also # 7 , 25 amp mini - fuse , rear wiper etc. ) The owners manual shows to disconnect your battery cables before servicing anything in the PD BOX

your relay could be shorted which makes the fuse keep blowing

#6 fuse keep blowing out it's a 20 amp fuse the fuse box cover just shows the number and the size of fuse to put there

Look in your owners manual in the index for fuses, find the page and it will tell you what runs on the #6 fuse. Tell me what it says and I'll try to help you figure out the cause. Whatever you do don't put a bigger fuse than 20 amps.
