Question about Logitech Freedom 2.4 (963283) Joystick

Open Question

Missing Logitech Freedom 2.4 transmitter/receiver

I am sure that some form of USB cable with a transmitter came with the wireless joystick; however I cannot locate it (have not used the device for awhile). I cannot even find reference to it on the web -- all pictures show just the joystick, but no accessory.

Please confirm the joystick requires this transmitter or can some newer PC use the device without the accessory?

If required, how can I purchase a new transmitter? What is the part number, etc.

I have the box and the joystick; the box clearly shows that there should be a usb receiver.

SOURCE: Joystick is not finding the wireless receiver

On the front of the usb reciever you will see a green flashing LED. This is actually a button which when pressed will then start to blink more rapidly as it is now searching for the controller. If you then immediately press a button on the controller whilst these rapid flashes persist it will find the controller. Both reciever and controller will now show solid LED lights. I bought a working logitech freedom 2.4 RF2.4 joystick. I have a reciver that connects my keyboard and mouse. Can i connect the joystick to it?

Not likely. The receivers tend to be brand proprietary. Bluetooth is the only universal standard used by many input devices.

Light on the Joystick no longer lights up.Joystick works fine otherwisr.Georger!

hi

Dono how good you are with a screw driver and a cable tester but ok here we go.... you will need to open the joystick and test the wired connection to the LED (bulp) if you tested the cables and you do have a power feed to the LED then you need to replace the LED it self.

Hope this helpes

Freedom 2.4 problem

What you can try is to press the surface on the receiver where the light blinks. This is actually a button you can click. The blinking pattern should then change. Now press any button on your joystick. The receiver is now scanning all channels for input and it should pick up the joystick's signal.

Most wireless devices from Logitech have multiple channels, which you can switch between, but this also means the receiver can be set to channel A and the joystick to channel B, which means they are not matching up.

After the click on any of the joystick buttons the light on the receiver should change to continuous light instead of blinking, indicating the link has been established.

You can find this solution on the Logitech web-site as well. Select your joystick and under the support steps it should say 'For wireless products you should now reestablish the connection following the steps here.' Where the word here is a hyperlink.

There you will find out that the receiver has a button to trigger the channel.
