This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you.
Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.
First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.
If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there. And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it. Step 1: Remove, inspect, and reseat the problem cartridge and Clean the problem cartridge contacts..
a) Make sure the printer is on. Press the Power button if it is not lit.
b) Open the printer cover, then wait until the print cartridge carriage is idle and silent
c) Press down lightly on the end of the problem cartridge to release it.
d) Slide the cartridge out and inspect it: * Check the Copper electrical contacts (the Copper Part which touch the Connector inside) * Clean it with the pirit or wet cotton) * Check the Nozzles - Clean it with the worm wet cotton * Wait for 2 to 5 min befour you connect them back * Clean the contacts in the carriage, inside the product (Printer) * Reinstall the cartridge. * Reconnect the product to the electrical outlet. * Close the product cover.

Note : If the cartridge is compatible, reinstall it in the printer: * Cartridges marked with a triangle go into the left carriage slot. * Cartridges marked with a square or pentagon go into the right carriage slot.
If issue not resolves Repeat repeating and cleaning steps
lift the printer and shake to check if it sounds like a piece broken inside.. turn the printer off take the power brick out from the back.. manually pull the cartridge to extreme right then center.. check if cartridge is aligned correctly.. if nothing of this works.. contact dell for replacement under warranty.. if out of warranty.. inkjet printers cannot be repaired if broken.. u can buy a dell v313 of same quality for $59 with warranty..
Try reseating the ink cartridges. The error references to either reseating or refilling the ink cartridges.
Since you have mentioned that it worked before with only black cartridge, try reseating both and check.
how can i print 4x6 photo paper ? it says load paper in the main tray its only printing with large plain paper , even if its set to photo tray , and if i put the 4x6 in the main tray it says wrong paper zize ...
