I can hear the console trying to work, but nothing comes on the tv screen. It was fine one day, and not working the next day.
Make sure all the video cable connections are plugged firmly into the back of the PS3
The sound you are hearing indicates that you are on the right track. To get the video to work you will need to select the correct channel on your TV set. Connect the video cables (yellow) to the video INPUT of the AV port of your TV and then change to the AV channel on your TV set to view the picture.

It sounds like a typical loading error which would point to 2 main issues.
1. your disc is either dirty or scratched.
2. Your laser is out of alignment and needs to be tuned or replaced
Typically it is the disc that is at fault.
Try to troubleshoot by doing the following.
1. Try another disc. Preferably a new disc as then you can be absolutely sure that the disc is not scratched.
2. Try unplugging all the cables and then plug them back in again making sure they are all firm
If there is still no joy after this it is still possible that your AV connection is damaged. This is rare so if you can get hold of another set of working AV leads that is ideal. Maybe take your unit into the store with your game and see if they can try another set of AV leads with your game, or try your game in their machine.
If you cant get to a store and the first 2 options did not solve the issue you may need to send your unit in to get the laser aligned or replaced.

i have the exact same proble and when i phone sony they just lie over the phone. I've been wait a ******* month for the box they send to come. I phone, they tell me it should be their any day now. I wait two more weeks still nothing. I phone againnnn same ********, so I asked them to reissue another box. They tell me ok it will be their in five days. Its now 1 month waiting for a box. I live in Canada and their sending it from the states there is no way in hell it should take almost 2 months ahahha i cant believe this ****. I done with sony worst service in the world.
