After copying your tunes to the computer which i guess you can do as you have not mentioned that in your post, reset the media player >>>>>> Press to power on/off, enter menu, or hold 15 seconds
to reset your Sansa.

hope this solves the problem

regards

Try the mp3 on another system or try another usb device on the pc to determine first which one is faulty.

If it's the pc(the mp3 player works on another pc or no usb device works on the pc), do a system restore. Go to start>all programs>accessories>system tools>system restore. Click next. Choose a bold date (preferably the last time your mp3 worked on the computer or earlier). Then keep clicking next until the computer restarts. See if the issue is fixed. Otherwise, there are other factors that could cause this.

Pls post back your progress.

Either the usb socket in which r inserting the usb is faulty or the wire itself is faulty.get 1 new wire from radio shack.and then try connecting.or connect any other device in that usb socket to confirm where the exact fault is.

Unplug PC power cord for ten minutes, wait , then restart the computer.

This get rid of electrostatic charges on usb ports, and often can solve the problem.

My computer wont reconize my mp3 player

Down load the firmware on Sansa's website. I have a Sansa 250R and it wouldn't work with the new replacement usb (Griffin) cord I bought at Best Buy. So I bought a Sansa Fuze and the cord that came with it worked on the E250R. Huh? Yeah, go figure...and oh, that replacement Griffin usb cord I bought worked fine with the new Fuze. I came real close to buying a new battery for the E250R but instead invested that money in the Fuze.
