Cannot get the nut holding old bearing off. How do I replace the wheel bearing on a 2005 f150 2wd, front passenger wheel?
Johny brown is wrong.... the 2005 ford f150 2wd requires a rotor/bearing assembly it is really really easy to change...... jack it up remove wheel, 18 mm wrench to remove caliper mount... then remove spindle cotterpin and nylon nut (26mm? ) with any luck the rotor/bearing /hub will pull right off ...if not a make shift lever/puller should do the trick.... I actually had a bearing frozen on the spindle that i used heat and a small 3 jaw puller to get the bearing free.... if everything goes smoothly you should be done in less then 30 min

okay i assume the rotor is off, remove the bolts out the back, take a hammer and beat the front of the hub the top then bottom then the sides to free, hit so that hub pull out,you will be hitting the back side the hub where the wheel would sit,if that doesnt work then use a chisel to break free, stick it where the hub meet spindle,ITs just frozen beat it.

just did one today. removed housing from car, and used a press . be careful of aluminum housing. also used penatrating spray. clean oxidation from inside bearing hole, then lubricating, helped in installation

if you have basic knowledge you should be able to carry out this job yourself. you will probably need to ring a dealership and ask very kindly if you could have the torque settings for the nuts and bolts ect.
hope this helps.
