Exiting DS Game Cards

I've got a game card with 25 games on it, I can access all the games but can't exit to choose another game unless I turn the console completly off. Is this normal or will it damage the console if so how can I get back to the main menu.

My nintendo DS will not work when i place my ds card inside and the game is not there

Try turning your DS power off then let it cool down for a few minutes. Before that take the game out. When you've let it cool down for a few minutes put the DS game back in and see if it has worked.

Hi there,

It sounds like you updated your Nintendo DSi console and your R4i card is no longer working. The best thing to do is to buy a card that works with the newest 1.4.3 firmware. Cards that do this include:

Check out R4DSRevolutionCards.com (not a shop) for information about R4 cards / R4i cards in general, they explain the differences between loads of different cards. My favourite is the Supercard DSTWO though. I recommend DSCardWorld.com as a shop but NDS-Gear.com apparently has some good reviews too.

Good luck!

Just got an acekard for dsi xl but it won't work. it says to contact support.nintendo.com. what am i suppose to do?

Hey Fey,

This is probably because you've updated your DSi console to the 1.4.3 firmware. If you take a look at the Acekard 1.4.3 Update page on the R4 DS card website at R4DSRevolutionCards.com it should explain the Acekard in some detail.

If you use a DS Lite or a pre-1.4.3 DSi (you may need to borrow from a friend) you may be able to update it, but otherwise buying a new pre-updated card will do the trick just as well.

I personally shop at dscardworld.com but that's cause I now live in the US, if you're in the UK/Europe I'd recommend them instead since their shipping's a bit cheaper but both of them are authorised retailers with decent customer support so whichever you choose it'll still be fine :-)

Also, I think this still works - on dscardworld.com use the voucher "dsmagazine" gets you 10% off. Not sure when it lasts till though, I found it in NDS Gaming magazine, so use it while you can! I think there's a minimum spend of $20 or $25 but most cards plus a micro SD will take you over that anyway. They stock pretty awesome cards like the Cyclo iDS and Supercard DSTWO so it's not too difficult.

Good luck! Please upvote my answer if I've been helpful. :-)

Language changed on Indiana Jones DS

This will occur if the DS is set to a language other than English, or the game options have been set to a different language. To correct this, 1. Launch the game and get to the main menu. 2. Choose the 3rd option in the list (this will be Options) 3. On the next menu, choose the 3rd option in the list (this will be language) 4. On the next screen the first option will be English. Select that 5. Then select Back (the very bottom option). 6. Choose Load Game. 7. Choose a save slot to load and choose Yes, then ok. 8. Press the Start button on the DS and choose Exit. Choose Yes to Quit Game. 9. Restart the DS. 10. Launch the game again. It should have saved the language setting.

I just did this and it worked!

Cant connect with wii!!

Hi, as of now, the M3 series of flashcards don't support wii connectivity. The team still has not addressed this issue, mainly because so few games connect to the Wii. It's possible to fix this, however, unless if you're a programmer, and have access to the cards source code, you're plumb out of luck. Only a firmware update to the M3 can fix this, but the team is not interested in fixing this. Alternatively, you can buy cards that do support Wii connectivity. Like the CycloDS, Acekard, and g6ds real.

R4 card the save data could not be accessed .

[DS] Cannot access save data fix. Some cards like the R4 and a few other cards have trouble running certain games,
With the exception of one game "Star Wars Jedi Alliance" All games can be fixed to work on these lower qaulity cards.

So why is it broken?
Basicly at some point during development nintendo changed the way save files are handled, saves are handled by a file inside all ds roms called "arm7.bin", older cards such as the R4 and others have no way of reading or using this updated arm7, so the solution is to swap the newer arm7 with an older arm7 taken from a working game.

This is refered to as an arm7 patch, swap or fix.

So how do i fix it?
First of all just try update your cards firmware. Firmwares for all cards

If that doesnt work there are a few programs out there that you can use to arm7 swap, DSlazy and DSbuff.
DSbuff being a more up to date program.

DSbuff v.1 Final link: DSbuff

Extract with 7zip, winrar or winzip: 7 Zip

Pre extracted arm7.bin from Contra 4: arm7.bin
If you download the arm7.bin put it in the folder you create in step one then you can skip step 2 completly.

NOTE: If DSbuff doesnt work properly on your computer *for example the program crashes during the arm7 swap follow this guide for DSlazy* DSlazy links and guide

DSBuff Instructions:

Step one: Set-Up
Create a folder on your desktop and name it the game you want to fix.
Extract DSbuff anywhere and start it.

Step two: Unpacking
Run DSbuff.exe and click browse dsbuffbrowse.png now choose a game you have that works.
Click unpack dsbuffunpack.png then browse dsbuffbrowse.png in the new drop down section.
Choose the folder you created on your desktop
Click "Unpack Checked" and make it so only Arm7 has a tick.
Now click dsbuffunpack2.png

Step three: arm7 swap.
Click the Drive:\ directory up the top or just restart DSbuff and click browse, now select the game your trying to fix.
Click on arm7 dsbuffarm7swap.png then browse dsbuffbrowse.png and choose arm7.bin from your folder you created. Now click dsbuffarm7swaptick.png
Watch the green line to see when its done, it will unpack, then repack then when its finished give you the option of what to name the file.

Congratulations your finished, enjoy your game.
