Hi im using a canon digital ixus 9515 camera and I have the wrong date stamp on all my recent photos. How can I delete the date?

There is no way you can delete the date stamp from the photos you have taken.
For future photos you can either correct the date or disable insertion of date stamp.

How can I unlock my photo card. When I turn on the camera, It says "card locked".

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.
If that doesn't work, try another card.

Many photos have disappeared from my camera, it's a Canon PowerShot DS800 IS. After you've taken a bunch do they get stored somewhere automatically? I haven't deleted anything, and I can only see about 5...

Yes they should have been stored automatically to the camera's SD memory card. Take no more pics until you've recovered the photos, and take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that are available to help you recover your photos. This blog article reviews and outlines several of the better ones.

You can connect camera's memory card to computer, then download this picture recovery program which is outstanding among all picture recovery software.

How do i take a self portrait photo - in simple terms please

Do you have a tripod ? If not a table or some suitable flat surface that can serve as the tripod. Then set the timner to 10 the button....and stand in position before the camera. You may get the shots you are looking for. I do not know if you can set the focus manually in this camera.
