Question about Lexmark X4530 InkJet Printer
When making a copy of a color or black page using the black button option the copy is OK. However when the same page is copied using the color copy button it adds two or three colored lines about 1/8inch wide horizonally the full width of the page. These lines vary in color from gray to the full spectrum. It also appears that if it is a photo being copied then the line color in the photo is a shift in the colors in the photo toward the right.
I can hear the process halt just prior to the errant printing then speed up as it lays down the extra lines, prior to going back to the correct printing.

I would put the old cartridge back in if you can and do a test scan, the cartdridge you put in may be at fault, the trick is to duplicate the problem and solution, if nothing else take the new cartridge back and get another.

Clean all glass with 70% isopropal alcohol on the scanner. If the line is perfectly straight and crisp. There a spec on the glass probally causing the line.
