If it is not the graphics card then it sounds like dead pixels on the screen there is no way to fix the screen without replacing it :)
just mess with it though. squeeze the screen by pinching it on the outsides gently and it might go away or wiggle your monitor back and forth. because maybe you just have a bad connection...
oh and do you leave the laptop open and on all day without a screensaver? If so the image has probably burned into the monitor. You should apply a screensaver straight away to avoid having to get the laptop replaced, happened to me with my last monitor, I learned the hard, €200 way!

inverter is bad..
if screen has a little white 2 pin jack, which plugs into a little board
then its that little board is bad .if it has one gold jack
alone and plugs in at bottom of screen , then its screen bulb bad
new screen !!!
You want to turn off drive compression on that file or on the whole drive. If you use windows explorer, you can right click the C: drive and select properties. On the bottom of the dialogue uncheck the drive compression feature
this is a very common problem if you always hav your llaptop on then its basically fried into your screen. if not and u damaged it somehow then you need a replacement. and if none of thats the case your monitor got 2 overheated or maybe one of your lcd cords coming from the mother board(hard drive) of your laptop is loose or damaged by heat
