Poppa Wolfe. you woke up a dormant, unanswered 12 year old question. Better to post a new one as this will now be stuck on the main page. It is a site glitch.

Sears did sell parts for it. All parts for this unit are now obsolete. Either wrap the old tube with Gaffer Tape, or have a tube 3D Printed.

when you remove the vac part there should be another "grid type" part that snaps in place of the vac tube. This engages the safety switch and keeps your fingers out of the impeller.

you probably have a piece of plastic caught between the impeller and the body housing. Unplug the blower and remove the vac tube, look for anything that doesn't look like it belongs in there.

How do I convert from blower to vac

First, remove the blower tube. Then connect the collection bag on the blower tube outelt. Then open the bottom fan cover. Keep it open and connect the vacuum tube into the opening.

You will find that you open the bottom vent, put a large suction tube in the recess and remove the blower tube and attatch a collection bag on the housing that held the blower tube. That's all there is to it.

Need to know how to attach vac bag

The bag should fasten to the blower where the blowing tube comes out. (blowing tube is removed to install the bag, and a pick up tube is installed on the 'screen door') It should have a tightening strap or velcro to hold it in place.
