A boat designed for greater touring distances and a higher degree of safety would have a smaller cockpit, hatches and bulkheads. The smaller cockpit allows for contact with your knees for control. The hatches and bulkheads are designed to be, for the most part, air- and watertight. You can store gear (in dry bags) in these as well as have hundreds of pounds of positive buoyancy should your cockpit fill with water.

Because kayaks are long and narrow, they are considered more "tender" than other boats, that is, they are more susceptible to your movement in the boat, as well as being affected by wind and waves. Even in the "safest" kayak, the operator needs to develop skills. Best bet is to take lessons.

Win32 tour application has blocked my laptop..please help me !!!

Theres not many information regarding Win32 Tour Application. It will show you phone numbers to call i believe.
Sadly theres not many that have solved this problem too. If you can boot to safe mode (by pressing F8 during initial boot) then try running your antivirus from there.
I would suggest downloading the free version from malwarebytes.org.
If that would not solve the problem reformating and reinstalling your OS will be the best move.
Good Luck.

I was downloading an update to my color id app and my Blackberry Tour was rebooting when my screen froze when the app was asking permission to access phone info. Now my screen is frozen and I can't get it...

I had the same problem and went searching online for a solution. You need to start your blackberry on safe mode and uninstall the application.

To boot up your BlackBerry Tour in Safe Mode, perform the following steps:
1. Take the battery out of the device.
2. Place the battery back in the device.
3. While restarting, press and hold the Escape key (the one with the arrow).
4. A screen will appear telling you that you are in Safe Mode. Select OK and troubleshoot the issue.

There are different versions of how long you have to hold the Escape key while the phone is restarting, so I just held it through the whole boot up time. It took a few minutes, but it's worth it.

Is it worth get a skeg (non moving rudder)($75) for my old town Loon tandem kayak or should i go all out and get a rudder system for it ($250) i have trouble keeping it straight when going in rivers

We have a 20ft Necky Tofino, and I installed a new SmartTrack rudder system on it last year. My wife is 5'2" and I'm 5'11", and we both love it because it's easily adjustable while you're sitting in the kayak. We can switch seats at any time with no problem.

The whole thing came to $250 with a spare blade.

How to repair a pucture in a blow up platic kayak, can I use a bicycle inner tube repair kit patch?

Best suggestion? Take it to a professional seamstress (odd, I know), she/he should be able to mend the tear quite easily to ensure safe sealing (they do more than sew, lol!), or at least guide you in the right direction... or risk your own handy-work on the high-seas...

Hope this helps!

Is the yakima big stack safe for fiberglass kayaks

I used the big stack for my river kayaks and it did fine. But my fiberglass sea kayaks are so much heavier that I did not take the chance. For 1 of my kayaks I spent a lot of money to get the special sea kayak rack and it worked great. For my wife's kayak I saved some money and bought some simple v-shaped foam rubber rack attachments for $20. The foam attachments are so much easier, I don't even use the Yakima attachemnts any more. My suggestion - save your money and go with the cheap foam attachments.

Can you fix a hole in the bottom of a kayak?

Try using a product called Marine-tex it can be purchased @ most outdoor goods stores. It is not that expensive and is a 2 part compound that is very easy to use and does not dry so fast you can't work with it. I have used it to patch aluminum boat hulls and fiberglass PWC's. Give it a try..

Length og a kayak

The longer the boat the faster the hull speed. So if your friends are paddling kayaks that are seventeen feet long and you are in a twelve-foot kayak, you'll be paddling much harder just to keep up. If you intend to paddle on smaller bodies of water, say ponds or small lakes where distance is not a factor, length is not so important. But if you live (or plan to paddle) on a bay, then you should consider more of a touring boat which will track straighter and move through the water with greater stability as well as speed.
