"The second stage regulator takes the manageable pressure coming from the 1st stage through the hose and delivers it to your mouthpiece in a way that is comfortable to breathe. Where the 1st stage is only concerned with letting air flow into the hose the 2nd stage has more complex machinery which handles both inhaling and exhaling through the same mouthpiece. Like the first stage the 2nd stage scuba regulator uses a diaphragm or piston to open a valve. Breathing in from the mouthpiece reduces the air pressure inside the chamber, water pressure pushes the diaphragm in, which opens the intake valve. When you stop inhaling the pressure in the chamber balances and the valve closes. The result is an air delivery system which supplies air only when you are inhaling and does not leak air constantly through the mouthpiece. A well balanced and well-maintained scuba regulator does its job so well that breathing feels natural and effortless despite the all mechanics involved. The second stage scuba regulator also has a purge or exhaust valve, which lets your exhaled air out of the chamber, but doesn't let water in. When you exhale into the second stage scuba regulator the pressure inside the chamber becomes greater than the ambient pressure. The exhaust valve is a simple one-way valve which lets this air escape. A second stage scuba regulator also has an ""emergency"" or ""purge"" button which forces the intake valve to open. When the purge button is pressed air will flow continuously into the chamber and escape either through the mouthpiece or the aforementioned exhaust valve"

Tina is right. Though the question asked what a safe second is. It is a another entire 2nd stage like she detailed. It is for your dive buddy in an out of air situation or for you if your primary second stage fails. Also called an "Octopus"

Have a champion gun safe. Moved it to a new location. Now it won't open. Any ideas?

If your model safe has the glass relocker and you didn't re-pin the relocker when you moved it, you might have broken the glass relocker during the move. That would keep it from opening.

The suivel of the second stage eos oceanic does not slacken remains giving turns

I think you mean the adjustment knob, because the swivel should always be able to move, it allows for better hose management. It can be removed but I do not see the swivel on the 2nd stage in that picture
If it is the adjustment knob you will need parts from an oceanic dealer or try scubaboard.com.You might be able to get some grey market stuff It Keep in mind scuba equipment is life support gear and someone could get hurt if it is done wrong

How do I reset code on multi vault gv 2000

I went here for your manual:

Gunvault Multi Vault GV2000

Do you have the key?

Looks like you can remove power for 30+ seconds and reset to the factory defaults (there's external power and AA batteries inside.)

The PDF file linked above has the "learn" precedure for setting the code. And there's a FAQ list on page 13 that you might find helpful.

Good luck!

How do I reset code on my gun vault GV2000

Enter the 1,2,3,4 factory number.
When the door opens, immediately press all 4 keys are once and release.

A red light will come on. then enter new code. lamp will turn off.

to confirm the new code enter it a second time.
red light blinks, an error has occurred or your timing was off, so just start over with the factory 1,2,3,4 code.
