T.S Steps 1. Disconnect the Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable from the back of the product, but leave the product turned on. 2. Open the cover of the product and remove the print cartridges. 3. Close the cover and wait for the Insert Ink Cartridges message to display. 4. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product and wait for one minute. 5. Reconnect the power cord. If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button. 6. Open the cover and reinsert the print cartridges. 7. Close the cover. If prompted, print a calibration page. 8. Reconnect the USB cable, and try to print a print job from the computer.

No solution found for this "0xc06200004 411:lib_micci2.c" error on my HP PSC 1610 more than throw it away and buy a new brand Samsung. This is the second HP printer that gives problems with bare use.

OK...just fixed mine with same error message....way back up underneath, small scrap of paper kept causing a jam...modified a plastic fork and pushed it out while also advancing the rollers with my fingers...realignment commenced...all is well with HP!!

This is a somewhat common error on HP all-in-one printers. Try the following, per HP: Give it a shot and see what happens...

The issue as this issue may occur because of ink system failure of the All-in-one.

Please follow the below given instructions to resolve the issue.

Please remove the All-in-One Printer from the Power Surge Protector and plug it directly into a wall Power outlet, as the surge protector may not provide enough power to printer.

Please perform the step given below to power cycle the unit after removing the print cartridges from the printer:

1. Verify that the unit is switched on. Unplug the all-in-one from power and disconnect the USB cable from the computer.
2. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Plug in the power only
4. Repeat steps 2-3 two more times.
5. On the third time after plugging the unit into power, reconnect the USB cable from the all-in-one to your computer.

Clean the cartridges by following the below given instructions:

Using a clean, dry lint-free cloth (a coffee filter works well), wipe the cartridge contacts, from the top to the bottom. The contact area of the cartridge should be rubbed briskly to remove the waxy lubricant material from the gold contacts. The contacts inside the printer may also require cleaning. Using a clean, dry, lint-free cloth, gently wipe the contacts, from the top to the bottom.

Also clean the cartridge carriage rod with a soft lint free cloth to resolve the issue.

Even if the issue persists, then try resetting the All-in-one to factory defaults.

Reset the All-in-One to the factory default settings by using these instructions:
1. Unplug the power cable from printer when the printer is powered on and wait for 20 seconds.
2. Then, press and hold # XXX 6 while plugging in the power cord.
Continue holding until it displays Semi Full Reset message in the front panel of the All-in-One.

A semi-full reset will do the following:
The user settings to the factory defaults, Language and country settings on some models, Fax logs, Fax headers, Fax speed dial information.

Also, check to make sure the flat cable to the print head is seated properly (if you know what this is)

Unable to install SCAN functions for HP PSC 1610

If you are having issues using your PSC 1610 on the Vista operating system there is actually an easy workaround using "paint" (I'm using "SnagIT").

Check it out:

For whatever reason you can't use the actual button on the printer/scanner but when you open paint you can scan the doc from your computer.

Hope this helps!

Help on HP PSC 1610

The all in one solution software you used in XP doen't work with Vista.

But you can still scan and copy by using Windows Photo Gallery.

1. Click on files tab at the top in Window Photo Gallery.
2. Click on import from camera or scanner.
3. Highlight your scanner icon (ie HP 1610) then click import.
4. New scan window will popup, now you can preview or scan using this basic looking Vista utility.

Hope that helps.
