Question about Computers & Internet
I know the pain, the card works, it could be formatted in the device you
use it in (e.g. digital cam, PDA), yet it could not be formatted using
The best fix is to not use a multi card reader. Use a pure SD card reader/writer.
Maybe to set the lock tab in between the locked and unlocked position might work too.

Hello is the card write protected? Have you locked it? Normally your operating system will tell you this.
Hope this helps,

Hey, I had the same problem. The card was unreadable, and couldn't format it.
Then I found out that Canon Ixus 75 has a "low format" function, and then I was able to get it to work again.
