I am making a project in visual basic about computer lab manegment.I also maked data base in ms access.i also connect it with forms.now, I want if i press 1 in form at run time, only the content of 1st row is show and other is hide.after it if I press 2 than the content of 2nd row in the data base is show and other is hide.how i can do this?
If your rows are being displayed or hidden on the form, the easiest way would be to use a filter on that part of the form. The filter would be based on the button being pushed; each button would invoke a different filter.
Make sure that the filter property of the form is ON.

"The Microsoft Jet Database Engine cannot open the file '(unknown)'"There are several causes for this error message:
The account that Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) is

even if the UNC points to a resource that is local to the IIS computer.

FIX: ASP fails to access network files under IIS 4.0 and IIS 5.0
Try the help built into Excel and give yourself time to absorb it; Excel has some of the best help in the business. VBA may be more complex than you need to solve a data entry problem. If you're trying to add data input masks in a database, why don't you try Access (the help for which is admittedly weaker because database programming is among the most complex of all productivity apps)? I learned VBA from 3 books I rented from a good public library over the course of a project that was about a month long, (because) at some point Microsoft abandoned the idea of teaching it via help screens. Still, you might join a MS developer site and those are loaded with detailed explanations and many other experts. I hope this helps... I feel your pain.
What are the uses of MS Access?? What are the disadvantages and advantages of MS Access? What are the MS Access Data Base Objects? What are the different kinds of toolbars in MS Access and there functions?
before this u should know what is databse.
ms access has various objects likw table, form, query, report etc..
table is a object which stores the actual data and form is used to enter the data in to the table and display the data from the table, while report is object which is used to desplay your data in required formate.Query is used to fetch the data from the table in customised formate.for that u should have knowledge of SQL.
If, as I suspect, this is for a web form, then it effectively can't be done on a "proper" web server. This is because you cannot install MS Office on an MS server OS (e.g. Server 2003). You need to use MS SQL Server or MySQL instead.
If this is for very limited use (i.e. only a few clients at a time), you can use XP running IIS but this is really not a good idea. The sedurity implications don't bear thinking about :) Linking a web page to Access can probably be done using ASP (never even thought of trying it - anyone else here know for sure?)
If you are using a Linux web server then it's totally out of the question. Use Webmin or PHPMySQL to set up a MySQL database & PHP to code the linkage between the page and the DB. There are plenty of tools out there that will automate this for you, some of them Open Source and therefore free to acquire.
