-   My tv is hooked up to a surround system. The sound keeps going out. I have to shut the receiver off and then turn it on again to get sound. I have to do this at least 5-6 times before the sound actually stays on. Any ideas? -   Guest

-   My parents' LTV 20-v25L also has audio problems. The tv needs to warm up at least 10-15 min. before the sound comes on. Then it is intermittent.
A repair person looked at it, but said it was very expensive (over $200) to fix. (?)-   amolibri
Please try to check the secondary PSU second & sound board electrolytic capacitor with their ESR value too. More info on repair lcd tv, here is the site you must visit: www.lcd-television-repair.com . Hope this help.
I have run into similar problems on a few sets, and what it turned out to be in all honesty was a heatsink in the audio circuit that shifted and intermittantly touched the pcb. These were sharp brand as I recall. What I did was a major dissassembly which took half the day, and repair burnt spots beneath the bottom board, of three stacked circuit boards. Eventually you will lose sound completely and/or other functions if not corrected now. Good luck, Russmann.
