Code 10 is a hardware code meaning something can't start due to wrong drivers or a defective device. Try the Linkksys item in another machine. If it boots the same way, the Linksys item is defective. If it works, then try updating your system. Is the OS (operating system) Vista? Check the CD that came with the item and make sure the driver is correct for that item. You may also want to try another brand like D-Link or Hawking. Both are very good.

It's a registry corruption in the networking section. It could possibly be fixed based on this info.

First with the card in, goto Device Manager and uninstall the driver.
Then goto Add and Remove programs in Control panel and uninstall the cards software.
Then shutdown the machine and remove the card and reboot.

Then click Start|Run
Type in RegEdit

Locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | SYSTEM | CurrentControlSet | Enum | PCI

OR

Locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | SYSTEM | CurrentControlSet | Enum

Highlight whichever you are going to change the permissions of (that is, highlight PCI or Enum).

Right click on it and select the Permissions option.

Now, you can change the permissions in a lot of differnet ways. I went ahead and added the Administrator Group and then gave that group Full Access. But you could also simply give the Everybody group Full Access. I think that you can change everything back after you get the driver installed, but I just left the Adminstrator Group with Full access on mine.

Ok, now reinstall your Network Card software, reboot your machine, Insert your network card and let it install the driver.

Then after you see that it is working you can go ahead and try changeing the permissions back in the same places in the registry (though, I didn't change it back so I'm not sure if it will cause the problem to occure again).

In any case, you will be surprised that it works for you, but odds are it will. .

Can a belkin network card f5d7050 work with a belkin g plus mimo router

As MIMO is compatible with all wireless g products there shouldn't be any issues at all....
so some questions:
  • do you have other wireless devices working with the router? if so can you duplicate their settings for this n/w card?
  • have you set security on the router?
  • what are you using to connect to the network the windows interface (assuming it's PC not MAC based) or the Belkin one?
i have a linksys g n/w card attached to my MIMO router & it's fine so I'm sure that this is solvable!

Does not have wireless network adapter

If wireless network adapter does not show on your computer, you can try reinstalling the drivers for the network card. If after reinstalling the network card, it is still not recognized on the device manager, then i think you need to contact your computer manufacturer for possible hardware issue.

How can i connect to enternet f i have a linksys wireless g notebook adapter with model no. WPC54g ver. 2

hi

this is a connector to the laptop and now you'll need a source...

a source can be a service provider with wireless connection or a free hotspots or

a home based wired internet connection with wireless router

if you have a wireless router then you may have to call the ISP for the DNS server settings if any required but for others i think the auto IP configuration settings should work fine

cheers
pls rate if this was any help

PC works fine with Linksys USB card, but laptop's NetGear won't.

It looks like you are either using TKIP or AES just put the wireless to use MIXED and it will solve your problem.
