No image through viewfinder - Model Z10

First, my camera is a Model Z10 - not a Z1. Loaned it to my husband for a boy's day out and now I cannot use the viewfinder to compose photos. I can use the LCD screen but when selecting and looking through viewfinder everything is black. Thank you - Linda

Was using a 4GB SanDisk memory card and a Sony CyberShot (new that worked well with this memory card for 12 days and works now with other memory cards) and taking lots of pictures and video then all of a...

The card appears to be defective. Replace the card.

There is a small chance if some crud on the contacts, but sounds like you have removed and inserted a few times.

Return it to where you bought it.. for exchange or refund.
You could try to format the card in a PC, but even that sounds unlikely by your description.
If you can see the card in the PC there is SoftWare that can try to recover defective pics from card.
But if you can not "see" the card in a PC, the SW is a waste of time.

Lost Your Manual?

This is a very short Tip ,
Recently i have noticed that a large percentage off questions asked are about how to get a new manual. So this is where this Tip Comes in

There is a site called manuals online (
where from there u can download and save manuals for everything

There is a box that says enter product model , This box is self explanatory
after that you should come to a page with all of the downloadable manuals

Click on one of the manuals then click on Get this manual.

I hope this solves all of your lost manual problems!

Hi there,

As long as your computer has the following Windows XP will run:
  • 128 megabytes (MB) of RAM or higher recommended (64 MB minimum supported; may limit performance and some features)
  • 1.5 gigabytes (GB) of available hard disk space
  • Super VGA (800 x 600) or higher-resolution video adapter and monitor
  • CD-ROM or DVD drive
  • Keyboard and Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device
If your computer has all of the above or better, Windows XP will run fine on your computer. It would be recommended that you install Windows XP as it is a more reliable version of Windows and a lot more functions and features are available.

Thank you for using FixYa! Have a nice day and please remember to rate this solution.

Warm regards,

Can I use a 4GM SDHC card in my Samsung Digimax S800? The manual says "up to 1GB guarantied".

No. Your camera will accept a maximum SD card capacity of 2GB. It simply isn't capable of handling anything of a larger capacity and in particular is incompatible with the more technically advanced SDHC cards.

Your fix is to either replace your camera with a later model or to stick to using SD cards with a maximum 2GB capacity.

How do you put your sandisk microSDHC card with adapter in your camera

That depends on the camera. If the camera supports Sandisk Micro, then the SD card will fit into a slot. The slot is often located near to the battery.

You will just have to push card in and camera will automatically read card.

If camera does not read the card, ensure that the camera model can support SanDisk Micro, and that it will also support card size. Older cameras do not support big memory card (eg.4Gb)

How to format my 4gb memory card for my motorola phone using my kodak easyshare camera

You don't mention what model of Motorola phone you have, but most (if not all) that accept a memory card have a format option. I would use the phone format function rather than the camera.

No not now as the brand is dead and has been taken over by Sony- There probably never were any models that took standard 35mm lens.
