Question about Washing Machines

Will not start

Please help, I have a Bosch Maxx WFL 2450 and it will not start at all. The ready light is on, the door locks, but regardless of which program is selected the machine will not start. Once you press the start button the light goes from ready to active and all you then hear is a series of approx 3 clicks and then nothing else happens. Any assistance would be appreciated because my washing is very quickly mounting up.

Hi, I followed your instructions but unfortunately it didn't get the machine working. I therefore needed to call out an engineer who carried out a number of diagnostic tests and concluded that it was the motherboard/electronics (suggested cost - £200). I have therefore decided to buy a new machine.

Thanks for your efforts and quick response..

To start unplug the machine power cord for ten minutes or longer, this will drain power from the machine and reset the electronic controls.

If this does not fix the problem check the following:

Check that the water supply at the back are opened and taking water into the machine.

Check that the door latch sensor is not stuck, and that door is well closed that is a frequent problem.

Check the drain hose and the drain lines, ensure that there is no blockage in there.

If this still does not work, then the machine has a faulty part that must be replaced, and must be tested by a qualified technician.

Use the phone number listed on the owner manual if you need to contact the repair service.

I get the F:16 error nearly every time I run my Bosch front loading Maxx 7 washer. I've cleaned out the water filter on the intake line, blown compressed air in the line...many times that will do it, but...

F16 has to do with your door lock. you probably have a faulty door lock. the machine senses the door is open and will stop. the door lock isnt that expensive and should solve your problem. if that doesn't solve it then you may have a faulty control board. but i would first start with the lock

Bosch Maxx lights on, hit Start as normal but nothing happens. After a while it goes back from Active to Ready flashing.

First question is does the display light up? If so then does the door lock? If the door is locking then the fuse for the washer that is on the back of the dryer hasn't blown. However if door won't lock, then check the fuse to see if it is open. This is a 208/240 volt washer and the display is the only part that doesn't need 208/240 volts. If fuse if find, then check the water screens in the fill hoses and clean them. This may be more of a control unit issue having failed, Hard to tell without knowing age of unit. Hope this helps
