Question about LG Shine KE970 Cellular Phone
I have two LG TV's (different models) close to each other but in different rooms. One of the remotes turns TV1 on when I am am controlling TV2. Is there some way I can change the remote code so this does not happen?
I had the same problem and we cut up a stick on lable and placed it over the end of the remote . It weakened the signal enough to where it would not change the other tv/tvs. We colored in the white lable with a black marker and you dont even notice it there.
It took alittle playing around with but it was much cheaper than buying a remote.

Ack. sounds like a mess.
the cheapest but least likely to work option: buy a universal remote capable of powering two tvs as well as your dvd player/cable box/etc. When you go to program the tv IR codes into your remote. Included with the new uni remote you will find a code guide. There should be more than one listed for LG tvs. Program TV1 with IR code1 and TV2 with IR code2. If not..
If you want to use 2 identical TV's, this will become a very advanced project. First, you will need some type of remote translator like the Ocelot. Configure your remote for 2 different TV brands so the remote signals are different. Program your Ocelot so that the remote signals from TV1 are translated to the appropriate codes and sent to the appropriate zone. Same for TV2. The Ocelot will output TV1 to a zone 1 IR emitter which is placed over one TV's IR target. The Ocelot will output TV2 to zone 2 IR emitter which is placed over the other TV's IR target.
As you can see, it's not cheap and the learning curve is pretty steep. There is no off-the-shelf fix for something like this.
Another possible option is to buy a universal remote to control both t
