Your best bet is to follow the steps here  (http://www.mydigitallife.info/2006/07/16/copy-or-transfer-music-and-songs-from-ipod-to-pc-and-computer-without-itunes/ ) or download a piece of software like, Sharepod, pod plus and if your a mac user i recommend iprober and podworks to transfer the songs to you're new computer. Once you get all the songs onto the new computer and imported into itunes, connect your ipod to your computer as usual and in itunes restore the ipod to factory settings.. when all said and done it will now sync the songs and playlist like before and will now be synced to that computer. There is a good chance you'll lose all of your playcounts..so hopefully  you don't have any playlist that require those, as they will not work.
I hope that helps.  Jai

My ipod is disabled and says connect to itunes but it also says itunes could not... so what do i do?

Step 1:
Apple's iPod Touch comes with a screen lock feature that allows you to set a four-digit security code to prevent others from using your iPod. Every time the iPod locks, you must enter this code to unlock the screen and access the user interface. Entering the wrong code too many times, or simply forgetting your security code, can cause you to be completely locked out. When this happens, you can quickly unlock your iPod Touch.

Connect your iPod Touch to the computer you usually sync it with. When you disconnect your iPod, it should now be unlocked. If Step 1 does not work, you have to restore your iPod Touch. Be advised that restoring your iPod Touch returns it to the original factory settings. This means that all your songs and files will be deleted and lost. You can resync your files to your iPod from iTunes once you have finished restoration. Connect your iPod to your computer and open iTunes. Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes before proceeding. In the left navigation panel in iTunes, select your iPod under the "Devices" section. Click the "Summary" tab and select "Restore." When iTunes prompts you about backing up your data, click "Back Up." In the following window, click "Restore." After the restore process completes, you will see the Apple logo on the screen of your iPod. Leave your iPod connected to your computer until it shows up again on the iTunes navigation panel. Your iPod touch is now unlocked. In iTunes you will be able to setup your iPod. Select the backup you made in the drop-down menu to restore your data files. Click "Continue" to finish the restoration. iTunes: Restoring iOS software

My ipod touch is disabled because of one of my friends. She tried to enter a wrong password, and now i can't access it at all. What do I do?

Connect it to the computer you usually sync the ipod touch with. The reason it locks is because it is a security feature, but by syncing with the original computer, the ipod is told that it hasn't actually been stolen, and will unlock again.

Can not unlock ipod

Hi,

How to Unlock an iPod

Your later generation Apple iPod can be locked to protect your personal data from anyone else's eyes. There are a variety of ways to unlock it depending on your access to the combination, the primary computer linked with the iPod, or neither.
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Unlock with the Combination

Remember the 4-digit combination you used to set the screen lock.

Enter the exact combination. If the combination is correct, the iPod unlocks and displays the screen you were on before you locked it.

The numbers on the screen flash red if you enter the code incorrectly.
Unlock with the Primary Computer

Plug the iPod into the primary computer linked to that iPod, the first computer you synchronized it with unless you have designated another computer as the primary computer.

Open iTunes and sync the iPod as normal.

Remove the iPod, following the normal removal procedure. The iPod unlocks automatically as you remove it.
Unlock by Restoring

Restore the iPod to factory settings if you do not have access to your primary computer. This erases all of the data you have stored on the iPod.

Plug your iPod into the new computer you want to be the primary computer. Open iTunes and click on the "Restore" button.

Reload your data, if it is available and sync your iPod. Remove it following normal procedures.

Have a nice day..

I forget my password on ipod touch

You can unlock it by simply connecting it to the computer that it was originally loaded from. iTunes will unlock the iPod for you, but it will not reset iPod password. Of course, as long as you don’t need to lock it again, that should be okay. The iPod will not lock automatically — it only does so if you specifically select the “lock screen” option.
There are several hacks and workarounds out there that will supposedly let you clear out the password by editing files in the iPod’s control directories through disk mode access, but I have never been able to consistently reproduce these, particularly on more recent firmware versions.
The only sure-fire way to actually remove the password entirely is to perform a “restore” on your iPod, which will erase everything on it, basically returning it to factory settings. If you’re using automatic sync, however, it should be almost trivial to reload it from iTunes, although it will take a bit of time.

plug it into your computer and through itunes on your original computer you will be able to reset it. If it is not the original computer that you are using you will be able to reset it but will probably lose the information on it.

My daughters 2g nano is locked, we dont know the number, how do we unlock it? there is a safe combination dial on the screen which we can`t get past.

Unlocking iPod
You can unlock iPod in one of two ways:
 Enter the combination on iPod using the same controls you used to set the combination. If you do not enter the correct combination, the digits onscreen flash red. When you enter the combination correctly, iPod will unlock and return you to the last viewed screen.
 Connect iPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one iPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.
If you can’t unlock iPod using either of these methods, you can restore your iPod to factory settings. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to iPod.
If you want to change the primary computer that your iPod is associated with, do this:
1. Restore your iPod. Warning: The restore process cannot be undone. All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data.
2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer.
3. Open iTunes and synchronize.

Important: Apple representatives cannot unlock an iPod if you forget your combination. If you can’t unlock your iPod and you don’t have access to the primary computer, your only option is to restore the iPod, which will erase all music and data.

Ipod touch

  1. Connect your iPod to the first computer it was synced with or the computer set as the primary one in iTunes. Open the iTunes application, then disconnect your iPod from the computer, and it should no longer be locked.
  2. Use this final way only if the first two options do not work for you because it is a destructive process.
Everything on your iPod will be erased.
This should not be a problem if you have all of your songs, videos, and other media stored in iTunes and you can synchronize once again after getting the iPod unlocked. Besides, if you don’t unlock your iPod it’s useless right? Learn how to Restore your iPod using the instructions from Apple’s site.
