My PS2 just switches off and if I tap the console a few times the red reset light comes on and then I can switch it on again. Its very irritating because all the progress Ive made in the games Ive been playing gets lost all the time and I have to start over. Please advise on how to fix it please.
Maybe an overheating problem...is it still under warranty? tapping it is probably making the contact "touch" again but at at the same time, the laser has a higher probability of getting damaged from movement...unless you can get inside the PS2 and see what is going on, I suggest scrapping it and getting a new one...
