Sounds to me that the port is having transmission issues reporting back to the mother board.
try an alternative keyboard input to the one that you are trying, failing that try a different socked device, the older keyboards are ps/2 (round socket) if that is what you are using then try using a USB keyboard, the usb keyboards have a faster report timer than the older ps/2 keyboards.

hope this helps.

Hi

You have not given enough information.

For someone to help you, you need to post again or add a comment to your question.

What type of computer is this (laptop/desktop, model number)?

What operating system are you using?

This information is required to help you solve the problem.

I had my gateway fx laptop running this morning and shut it down at around 7 am. When I turned it on it loads to the log in screen but I can't type or use the touchpad at all. Help

Press and hold-down the ON/OFF button, until it shuts off. Restart it, and see if it was an "intermittent" or "once-only" problem.

If you still have the problem, take the computer to a qualified technician, for professional trouble-shooting.

My gateway keyboard keeps uninstalling. I come in

After a little research, this page should help you. You will need to update the drivers for your keyboard.

Apparently there can also be a conflict if you are using a usb mouse and a standard plug keyboard at the same time (or vice-versa). Using both of the same type will normally stop this error.

If this doesn't work for you please post back.

My computer keeps going off during system boot. I think its due to virus attach. How do I solve this problem?

Hi,
If you think it is a virus, boot into safe mode (F8 in windows). Choose safe mode with network support so you can access internet if you need to. Then run your anti-virus program. I suggest malwarebytes..it's excellent

If you can't boot into safe mode and your 'puter still shuts down, well, it's something else.

Monitor goes black

hi
seems the computer of urs has a bad driver, ths y its goin blank or black.
To check this try booting up in safe mode. You do this on start up by pressing f8 over and over when you first turn on the puter. Then the puter will ask you what mode you wanna start in and you highlight safe mode. Once there go to monitor driver uninstall it and reinstall the driver (hope you kept the disc that came with the monitor.) If not your gonna have to go to the web site of AOC and dowmload a driver. Im saying this as I once had a puter monitor that the peeps thopught was bad and I hooked it up to a test jig and it worked all day. so when i did this to the puter it was fine. Now its astill a possibility that the back light curcuit is defective but maybe not??? Good Luck

PS Safe mode in case you dont know is windows started with NO drivers installed and all the things like the monitor and mouse and keyboard are a windows standard driver and this mode is made so the user can change a driver just in case it gets corrupt or the wrong one is installed.

hope u will b helpfull

Monitors on/off green light flashes

Try first unplugging the monitor and the computer from the wall for 12 to 24 hours. If this does not work, hook up another monitor to the puter to see if the problems with the puter or the monitor.
