Question about Panasonic VIERA TH-65PV500 65 in. Plasma Television
The picture and sound on our Panasonic Viera Plasma TV just went. We were in the process of changing the settings, when the screen went blank and the sound went. Switching it on/off doesn't help, the green light comes on, but no picture. The TV also doesn't warm-up. Any suggestions?
Make sure that there is actualy power going to the AC power source where the TV is plugged in. You can re-set the TV by disconnecting the power for about 10 seconds and then connecting it back again. If the set still does not start it will require service.
If the set is dead it is most likely the main power supply board that failed. The service tech would replace the power supply and also investigate to find the cause of the failure. Sometimes another board could have a failure and cause the power supply to be damaged.
If the set will not start up, it will require shop service. You can call Panasonic tech support to find out the authorised service rep for your area. Check to see if the set is still under warranty. If not, it will be expensive to service.
