My audiovox smt 5600 can't show start any more if any one can help me restart it with a code pls mail me at email@example.com
I assume you mean the phone is asking for a network code or password before the Start Menu is available, ie, phone can be used.
If this is so and it is asking for a network code, then you need a SIM card that matches the carrier the phone was designed for. If it is ATT/Cingular, you can buy a SIM card from the new ATT/Cingular network for $6. It is a pay-as-you-GO phone SIM, but once you have it, you can call ATT to as for a number xfer as well as a standard monthly contract using this SIM.
If it is from the old Blue ATT network, then it cannot be used on ANY carrier unless it is unlocked for use on ALL carriers. This would be noted witht the docs that came with the camera. If nothing says ATT/Cingular, and especially if someithing says ATT without Cingular, then it is probably an old Blue ATT phone. You can buy a BLUE SIM off ebay which will get you to the point of being able to use the phones functions, but it will not work to make calls until you unlock it and replace the BLUE SIM with another current carriers SIM. Sprint will not work either because it is not a GSM ATT type network. Cingular and T-Mobile yes.
Google phones model number and UNLOCK and you will find a way to do it yourself at no charge if you have an XP or earlier PC with a USB port. Vista OS cannot be used to do it with the downloaded unlock software. It is also very hard to find anyone that can do it selling Unlock Codes based on phones IEMI code.
If it is not a network lock message, then it may be the last users personal lock password. In this case, you can hard reset the phone by holding down both right and left softkeys while powering on the phone.
