Re: access prohibition.

There must be a major bios or mobo problem here, try this, it just may clear the faults. This could be a corrupt bios or a low cmos battery, follow instructions. Take the right hand side panel off the pc. Look for a disc shaped 3V watch type battery and replace (Very cheap) Look on the motherboard and reset the bios at the 'JBAT1' terminal put jumper(little plastic cap) from pins 1-2 to pins 2-3 for a few seconds then back to pins 1-2. Restart pc and enter bios when prompted(or press F2 or DEL on startup) to set time and date, save settings and Exit bios. It should now boot ok.

How do I scan on this printer?

normally there would be some software that came with the printer that has scanning utility in it so I guess by putting your document face down on the scanner with the lid on it you could find the scan software on your computer. Sorry I can't help any more than this, but you haven't told us the make or model of the printer/scanner.

Your account has been temporarily blocked Why are you seeing this? Someone may have used your account to send out a lot of junk messages or done something else that violates the Windows Live Terms of...

It sounds like someone knows your password, or more likely your computer is infected with some type of malware that is using your account to send spam messages out to all your contacts. You will need to contact Customer Support to gain access to your account again and they will likely have you change your password. I recommend getting some anti-malware software in place and doing a system scan of your computer before regaining access to your account.

I recommend Malwarebytes as a good scanner. Install that to your computer, update the virus definitions, and do a full system scan of your PC. Let it remove any infections it finds. Best of luck to you.

System Administrator

You're Welcome.

I wasn't suggesting you access Control Panel properties, but your start folders properties to add control panel back to it.

As for the user/Administrator account issue, you could try a system restore (I rarely if ever suggest this) to a date prior to the issue and that may get you back into control.

Also if no one else has had physical access to this computer? You may want to boot into Safe Mode (tapping F8 key on boot to key to the Windows boot option screen) and run a full virus scan as this issue doesn't seem likely unless it's viral in nature. Unless someone else has been messing around with it.

Everytime I turn on my computer whether I'm online or not the application svchost asks for several approvals from my firewall to connect to the internet.Any suggestions? Thanks,,,

don't let it access the internet. svchost is a trojan, so do a full system scan with your anti-virus and get rid of it. if you dont have a anti-virus, go to the avg website and download it.

Access prohibition

Sounds like system and registry files may be damaged. Firstly if you have not got a windows xp cd go to double click My computer>tools>folder options>view and uncheck 'hide protected operating system files'. This will allow windows to see the system cache, but even this may be corrupt and you will require a copy of Windows XP for the required files. Now run this programme, go to Start>run then type sfc /scannow (there is a space after sfc and the forward slash). Press enter and it may require a restart to run file checker. If the files in the cache folder are corrupt it will ask for the cd.
