Question about Televison & Video
Thanks for your help with the Projection TV.
This question is regarding my 20 inch regular (CRT) TV.
2 days ago I was watching it and it was fine. I turned it off to go give my housemate a ride, came back turned it but there was nothing. I can hear the Click when I turned it on but there was no Sound or Picture.
Is this a Power supply failure?
I opened the TV, the 2 fuses inside are OK. I followed the digram inside to go into Service mode but again no picture or sound, jusk the TV clicks when I plug it in and when I turn it off or on.
Can you help please.?

Hi it sounds like it has had an elctric fault like a resistor failing.
The click you heard would be a internal switch that cuts off the elctric supply to the screen to stop furthe damage hapening.
It could even be something simple like a bad solder and in that case will need locating and resoldering.
How old is the telly and how often is it used.
When you switch it off leave it off for about an hour then try again if you have allready done this then it probably is a blown resistor are you sure nothing has been pressed on controll have you tried seeing if you can acess the menu screen via the remote and see if that comes up on the screen let me know ok
