I have an older (?) Mitsubishi WS-73907 series and cannot correct its red convergence. I have located the manual convergence feature in the menus, and can alter blue convergence fully, and can alter red convergence in the up/down direction, but NOT in the left/right direction. Every so often, for a very short period of time, the convergence will "magically" be correct, but then quickly goes back to out of whack in a complicated sinusoidal (?) pattern, with the error being zero in one location (right of center) and then progressively worse toward the sides and corners.
How can I fix this? I've been watching this giant doorstop out of focus for many weeks now, but can't stand it any more!
i have kind of the same problem but with a 5 year old mitsubishi WS-B55 will the convergence kit work for my set too?

Double images and colors are blurry and fuzzy images .Blue,red and yellow wave coming up from the bottom of the screen on the lower left and cannot be adjusted this is the symptom for busted convergence IC,you must replaced this IC in order that will works better again.STK 392-xxx ICs and it's associated resistor,this resistor automatically change value,can caused truoble even though you change the ICs.If you bring this to a service center they cost you $600 to $700,but if you buy the repair kit you can save more,don't wory it is very easy because there is intallation guide including in the repair kit.
