See if you can set the sharpness a little lower in the monitor setup on the pc, not the monitor first. Then try sharpness on the monitor.

Your problem is the blue convergence IC has failed, there are two convergence IC's in this unit and I recommend you have both replaced because if one has failed the other is not far behind, better to do preventive measures now then later. One IC controls the Blue and the other controls the Red and Green convergence.

You need to install a convergence repair kit. The PT47WX42 Convergence repair kit at the following link is the correct one for your model. The kit contains both Convergence ICs and the six feed resistors, Plus the CD with instructions on how to do the repair.

TV shows large red spot in middle of tv when dark show are on, you can see it more.  Now blue spots on upper right side too.  Spend way to much on this tv to have these kinds of problems only after 3 yrs.

If the blue shadow is convergence you should have an option for convergence adjustment via the remote control to converge the blue onto the green. If it doesnt move then its probaly a IC problem. What make and model set do you have?
