Troy, sense the vehicle sat for a year, the first thing I'd do is go to AutoZone and get a can of "Starting Fluid", see if the engine will start by spraying it into the "Throttle Body" OR "Carb" depending on the year model. If it starts with the starting fluid this means the gas has gone bad and you'll need to drain the tank and put new gas in it. NOTE: If it still does not start, then you'll need to find out what the engine is lacking. Does it have spark at the spark plug wire? Does it have Gas at the Fuel Rail? Does it have compression. Has your Nissan sat for a period of time? If so, could be dirty gas...try adding 2 bottles of Heet gas line antifreeze and injection cleaner..also as this works, be sure not to let the gas level go below 1/4 tank...If needed check air filter dirty...throttle body dirty...Hope this helps.
Check all fuel lines for leaks, make sure it doesn't have bad gas in it. Listen for fuel pump when key is turned on. Change fuel filter. See if that's helps.
Did you check to make sure fuel is getting as far as the filter? Detach the fuel line at the filter and have someone crank the engine. If fuel doesn't get to the end of the line you've got a clog somewhere else or there's a break in the fuel line.
since the car sat for 6 months it could be a vaccuum line the lines are rubber or hard plastic the tend 2 dry rot or chewed by small rodents, while the car is running listen 4 whistle or check for cracks or lines off completely
