If the wires from the reset switch is white/blue the blue wire is positive, Hdd red/white red is positive power Green/white Green is positive etc. The wires on the speaker connector will be red/black/black/white - red is positive. The colored wire is always positive. On all GA mb's the positive connection is always towards the back of the MB and are marked with a + on the base of the pin as you can see on the photo. Hope this help.
Some wiring can be confusing such as with the board we were using. As
you can see the wires mainly connect from left to right but the hard
drive LED and the Key Lock wires connect from top to bottom but still
show where the (-) connection is. This is where you need to pay close
attention to where things actually connect to the motherboard as many
boards have similar configurations.
Answer me this. You're case is an Antec tower? The motherboard is the Asus P4P800 SE ? Is this correct?
If you have you're manual you can see what goes where on the board for front panel connector page. 2-31. (This diagram shows you how to connect the front mic & speaker).
To connect the Antec's front USB ports plug the case USB front connectors onto USB56 & USB78 shown on page. 2-30. Most case wires are already set within their USB connectors & the Antec's front USB connector should fit right on the mother board's pin's. If you need you're user manual, download from Asus by clicking on this link. http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?modelname=P4P800%20SE&SLanguage=en-us
Post the type and model # of your motherboard. I don't think there is any generic way to hook them up. You will need to find it in the manual. Have never seen a MB manual that does not show the pin placements.
