How to turn on hot tub

I have a spa city ''superpac'' deluxe series M30 model hot tub in the home I am staying at (we just bought this home and the hot tub came with it) however the instructions are really not helpful and it does not tell me where the power (on) button is - I looked all over and around the hot tub for the button and I can not find it.
Could you help me?

Check at the plug in if it has a normal plug like in your home first. Should be a set of buttons there, called a GFI. One is test, and the other reset.Push reset to see if spa comes on. Most spas dont have an actual on button. Check breaker box for popped breaker also, maybe tub is having problems, and needs a service call. Also larger tubs ussually jave a gfi or fuse box outside, close to tub. Kirk

SOURCE: how to turn on hot tub

Hot tubs do not have an "on" button. They are preset to heat up to 100 as soon as the breaker is turned on.

How do you winterize a hot tub? QCA Jewel Model SUV M7

this is taken right from a jewel series QCA hot tub manual.....Winterizing
In very cold weather you may not want to venture outside to use your spa. In this case, you may move it to a heated area, or leave it as is until the weather warms. If you do leave the spa unused for a long period of time in severely cold weather, you should winterize the spa to avoid accidental freezing due to a power or equipment failure.. Follow these easy steps: Turn power to the spa OFF. Drain the spa. Use a wet vac to **** or blow out the air injectors, water jets and water suction fittings. Add 1-3 gallons of RV antifreeze, depending on the size of the spa, to all the air injectors, water jets, suction drains, and filter. Caution: Any lines not receiving adequate antifreeze are subject to freeze damage!

I have a 15 year old Hydropool Gold Series hot tub that I bought used a month ago. We got it all hooked up and working great but was told the timer never worked so it ran 24/7. Yesterday my husband turned...

If you can find the points on the timer try sanding them down. If they were burnt and stuck the spa would have run continuous. When you pulled the timer you may have broken them free but a burn would have kept them from making contact. I hope this helps, if not you might try reversing the leads coming into the timer or wherever you unhooked it to take it out. good luck.

My hot tub i dont no how too turn it on or turn the heat up

There should be an independent circuit breaker to control the tub, most commonly a 50 amp GFCI breaker. (Has a "test" button on the breaker itself) It is usually located either in the vicinity of the spa in a gray box, or in the main circuit breaker panel of your home. In rare instances, they may have used a "fuseless disconnect" either in the spa equipment compartment, or within the vicinity of the spa. (at least 6 ft. away from spa) The disconnect is simply a removable lever that you pull out to disconnect power to spa. I would advise you search for a breaker or disconnect. If you locate the breaker, switch it off, then back on. If you locate a disconnect, pull it out, ensure that it is inserted in the correct way, then re-connect it. If that doesn't work, check for a GFI on the equipment pack itself. It would have a "test" and "reset" button on it. Press the test, then reset button. You should hear a distinct "click" when the test button is pressed, and the reset button should stay in once pressed after that. If it does test and reset properly and the pump, etc doesn't work, then you have a problem in the control pack. (Either a fuse, or a component that an average consumer cannot diagnose or repair.) That being the case, you should call a qualified spa technician. Hope this helps.

Have a hot spring spa,i notice a layer of oil in

You caused it, MOST likely

Possibly, it came out of your well or out of your city water supply.

Don't be alarmed and don't be mad. I maintain a hot tub in a resort and in the summer we change the water weekly to get rid of this stuff. We have this trouble to a lesser extent in our other bodies of water at the resort.

What can you do? Go to the pool place and get some of the blue stuff. (comes under several names) The blue stuff works best when the chlorine is low. Put one ounce in a bucket of water to mix then put it into the tub - run the blower and the jets for 15 minutes wait 15 minutes and do it again. Let it run on maintenance speed all night. (never add water to chemical ... always add chemical to water)

What is happening is the blue stuff makes the disolved solids in your water (oil, etc) bind together and either float or sink depending on their specific density. This gunk will be mostly removed by the filter. Clean any you find from the tub (ring around the tub)

Treat your tub weekly (not weakly) with the blue stuff. And also, be very particular about your water balance; pH, Total Alkalinity, chlorine. Calcium is unconsequental in your case unless it is extremely high (above 800 ppm) I presume you know you should have about 7.4 pH, 3 - 10 ppm CL, 80-100 TA or 100-120 depending on whether you use liquid or dry CL.

And lastly, Take a good shower before you get into your tub and insist others who use your tub do the same. I presume swim suits might be optional in your spa (they are in my home spa) if not - make sure they are CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN - after a trip through the washer, rinse them again and let them dry.

This is what I call a 75 cent answer for a 50 cent question. I'm sorry if I overwhelmed you. If I missed your question, please re-ask

Above all else, enjoy your spa.

Open your drain valve under the unit to break any air lock that will have gotten there when you drained the tub.
