Green and red battery lights blink--wont run

When I push the start button the status lights (green and red) blink alternately and the gaucho wont run.

I have the alternating red and green lights blinking as well. I've checked all the wires and they all look to be in good condition. I've also checked to see if master electric board is getting voltage. It is. When I push the red start button I hear a click on the master electric board. It comes from the connector which goes to the accelerator housing. It has to red cables going from it to the accelerator housing. Does anyone know if both red wires are suppose to have 24V on them? Only one side has voltage. Does anyone have a more detailed schematic than the one that is on the peg perego website?

I have the same issue. Called their customer service and they said it was a defect in the charging system. They are sending a upgrade kit for free, but when it's installed you can't charge the battery using the rear port anymore. No big deal. I'll report back when the fix is complete. 5-7 days until it gets here.

Is this item electric or gas driven . if it is electric check all the connections on the buttons / switches to make sure the are connected . if it is gas replace the gas with new gas. and check to see if the choke is still on

Peg pergo gaucho jeep won't go when push petal, bought new battery but not battery

first of all check for at least 12 volts from the battery and the charger, you can test this using a multimeter, if the battery doesn't show any volts, lift up one side of the blue plastic housing on the top and verify that both the positive and negative wires are plugged in, then check for power at the foot pedal, then at the shifter, then at the motors

Red and green lights both blinking and clicking sound is made, after the battery is charged and vehicle wont run... the vehicle is a gaucho 24volt jeep

It could well be the master controller circuit board that is faulty - its the one underneath the seats. If you're in Europe - get in touch with Wacky Wheelers at and they could supply you with a new one

New Peg Perego Gaucho 24V Superpower. How do you turn it on and off? Connected the battery and the light is green. Is there way to turn it on and off or is it just supposed to be left on?

There is a key on these that turn it on when the battery is connected to the vehicle, so either just unplug the battery or turn the key off. I know on ours, after a few minutes, it would shut off on it's own to save battery power, and we'd have to turn the key back to off, then back on again to get going again. Check out the site, tons of cool info on doing fun stuff to your Gaucho!

I cant get the lights to work on PEG Pergo Gaucho

I don't think these regular Gauchos lights actually work, they are just fake. Only the 24V (800 dollar ones) have working lights. You can add lights, buy a set on Ebay, under Power wheels led , they sell kits that run off a little 9V battery, easy to install, Im a chick and did it myself using a kit off Ebay, I have no electrical knowledge at all!

24 volt Gaucho will run a few feet than stop. Than it will start again. Battery and both rear motors have been replaced.

It's your circuit board / breakers that are doing that, as perego quotes, to keep it from destroying the gears if they get overheated. It's $100+ for a new one thru them. Check out the site , many people convert these to run off scooter controllers (like I did to ours).
