Question about Samsung BlackJack Smartphone

Samsang blackjack - won't stay on

The phone was low on battery then when charged kept looping on off without a round windows connection light coming on. the screen in between turning itself on and off showing a battery and antennae icon with a cross next to both "x". I think there was an alert before it went funny - NYY or TYY alert. I think something inside the phone has been turned off - otherwise phone keeps looping on and off. Ultra messaging comes up then next G Te;stra then Windows Mobile then the icons then off.

A lot of problems seem to happen with the blackjack after an update or installing 3rd party apps or ringtones.

Try to do a hard reset and restore factory defaults. With the phone off... press and hold the UP on the dpad then press the power button while keeping UP depressed. That should replace the current running OS, with the default system stored in the ROM.

See if that works.

If not... Try to Enter flash mode / boot mode in i607. With the device off, press
"right soft key" + "side camera key" + "power" at the same time and wait for it to load.

It should force it into Bootloader mode. If you can't get into Bootloader mode, your Blackjack is done.

Sell it on ebay as a dead phone due to a bad flash. Someone may want to buy it for spare parts or to try and fix it.

Hopefully the Samsung update didn't die while copying over the files. When during the process did it die (Early, midway, toward the end?). If it is toward the end you might have the updated firmware in your ROM, just have a bad install.

Good luck.

First off how old is the phone? How long have you been experiencing this problem. If it is under warranty you will want to have it serviced that way. If you need further assistance let me know. Please take a moment to accept and rate my solution accordingly.
Thanks,
Lee

Blackjack 2 simply will not turn on!

Mine did this after being dropped. I worked on it for a long time- finally got it to come on...then had to turn if off to fly. I spent a long time trying to figure it out....I am no tech expert- just an athletic trainer so to me if I drop it something must have shifted so...I tried to fix that. I took the back and the power button off (the power button has a small stretchy loop attached-- do not tear this or you can't get it back on- you need to loosen up the key and tilt it back and down to unloop it). There is then a small "power button" that gets clicked under the big one. The contents of my phone had shifted so I gently pushed the button down and forward into the phone (I actually tried severally directions). It does not have to be forceful- I was very careful. And "poof" my phone turned on and I am much happier. ;) Then you just re-attach the loop and you are set. I hope this helps anyone looking for answers- I couldn't find any other suggestions anywhere that were sucessful for my situation. I now do not have to spend money on a new phone. :)

Samsung Blackjack II battery went completely dead and now the phone will not recharge. When plugged in, green recharge light will not come on.

Issue with either battery, charging port on phone, or charger. Attempt replacement of charger or different outlet first. Then battery replacement, about $50. Then phone replacement (hope you're eligible for warranty or have insurance if you don't want to upgrade).

Whenever i plug it into the charger, the light flashes yellow

You need to get a new battery. The yellow light means there is an abnormal charging condition and that is usually the battery.

My samsung blackjack 2 will not charge. the battery is now totally dead, will not turn on and will not charge even with the wall outlet charger or the computer usb charger. when the phone still had some...

If the Red Led stays turned on it is as simple as this.....the solder connecting your power on button to the system board in your phone has worn off..... you must pop the power button at the top of your phone off and you will be able to see where the soldering paste has simply worn off. At my job I have a soldering machine so it was not problem for me. I simply took pasted it back to the board with tin.....now this may require some work. just pop off the top section of you phone with a flathead screw driver and pop out the power button. look closely and you should be able to see where the botton has lifted from the little greenish system board..... Find someone to solder it, put it back together and it works like new.........SEE YA

Samsung Blackjack II Screen Stays Black

I have a solution. Call at&t. they will send you a new one. I have had my phone for 5 months and it happened to me also. There's a warranty on the phone itself that covers it from the day "you" started using it. I bought mine from a friend. Cool!! It should be here in 5 days free shipping.
