After reinstalling windows the WLAN is Disabled. i am not able to enable from BIOS as its not there. pls help
One of the people here posted a response, more than a year prior to your question, which comes very close to being the right response for your situation - you must change the settings on your network adapter, which you can find in Control Panel.
However, not knowing which version of Windows OS you have been working with, and other information about the PC you have been trying to use for WLAN, it is extremely difficult to offer you a response which will unequivocally fix your problem.
If you post more information, specific to your configuration, then one of us here will be able to guide you to the right solution.
Please, put more information up for us to look at, and then we might be able to resolve your WLAN issue.
Cheers!

in very laptop there is a switch button that determines if your wlan is on or off. Try finding it and switch it to On. I hope this will help you,, if it doesnt work let me know.

For less hassle you can install ubuntu within windows and it will work perfectly if your windows is operational...

I had the exact same problem and went through the same steps that he did. It was only when I searched for a physical wireless switch (on the left side of my Dell D630) that the problem was solved. I didn't even know it was there and must have inadvertently knocked into the off position.
